Subscribing with Karmo for Rideshare is a great idea. You have no outlays that you would normally have such as rideshare comprehensive insurance, maintenance, omnibus licensing and registration. You don’t have to worry about putting lots of kilometres on your car which will depreciate it quickly PLUS you can talk to your accountant about claiming your weekly rental fee.
What do I need to join?
If you are a current rideshare driver, e.g. Uber, Didi, Ola etc, you will pass the minimum requirements to be eligible to become a Karmo rideshare member.
Do you have rideshare insurance for your cars?
Yes, to be an official Uber Vehicle Solutions Partner there must be the appropriate Rideshare rental insurance. This is like having comprehensive insurance on the car however the cost is included in the rental amount.
What is the minimum term length for rideshare?
We understand that life can be funny, and things can change personally and professionally fast. Here at Karmo we have the shortest minimum vehicle hire with a Seven (7) day minimum term and seven (7) day handback notice period of return.
Can I drive my car for personal use?
Of course, however we do have a maximum distance of 150 kilometres from your home location unless approved in writing by Karmo management.
Are there any extra costs?
At Karmo we offer flexibility for our driver partners. Our plans offer 1500km's per week included so the only extra costs you need to allow for is fuel, traffic offences, tolls and any repairs or damage not covered by insurance or warranty.
Should I get a hybrid car for rideshare?

What if I want to leave town for a week or more?
No problem! As long as you give us at least 1 weeks notice, you can drop off your vehicle and pick up your new one when you get back saving you weekly rental charges while you were enjoying your time away.
Do rideshare drivers require extra training?
No, rideshare drivers with services such as Uber, Ola and Didi do not require any extra training. However, you will need to meet certain requirements. Generally, Uber, Ola and Didi drivers must be at least 21 years old, have 1 year of experience as a licensed driver in Australia (drivers under 23 years old must have 3 years of experience), have a valid drivers license, and drive an eligible 4-door vehicle.
